Mission

After Jesus rose from the dead, and just before He ascended to heaven, He gave his followers a mission, also known as the "Great Commission" found in Matthew 28...

"Therefore, Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."  -Matthew 28:18-20 TNIV

The word "disciple" means follower.  Our responsibility as followers of Jesus is to reach out to others who do not know Him and show them how to be followers of Jesus themselves.  Many in this world believe that God does not care about them.  But that is a lie, He does care.  He loves the world so much that He died on the cross for each and every one of us so that someday, we can be with Him for eternity.

It is the mission of New Day to share God's love with others and invite them to be life long followers of Jesus.
