Tumaini (Hope) International

With an estimated figure of 300-500 people dying every day from AIDS in Kenya, Tumaini’s mission has been to provide a tangible response from a Christian perspective. There are an estimated 1.9 million AIDS-orphaned children in Kenya and the figure is expected to increase rapidly given that approximately 3 million adults there are living with the disease. The real tragedy is that a staggering number of orphans are being left with no hope for the future unless someone intervenes.
